Image of Laura MasonLaura Mason has 28 years of behavioral health care experience in both public and private health care systems and settings, including community mental health, state psychiatric hospitals, private psychiatric hospitals, chemical dependency residential, chemical dependency outpatient programs, schools, jails, correctional and alternative sentencing programs. Mrs. Mason holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California and an undergraduate degree in psychology. She is licensed by the state of California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She is a member of the California Hospital Association, the National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems, the Hospital Association of Southern California and the National Association of Dual Diagnosis.

Mrs. Mason has held several positions with College Hospitals and College Health Enterprises over the last eleven years. She has held executive, clinical and administrative positions. Her participative management style positively influences the pathway to excellence with primary focus on service excellence, teambuilding, clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. In addition, Mrs. Mason has conducted professional trainings, seminars and workshops on chemical dependency, mental illness, trauma, crisis intervention and management of assaultive behaviors to address the educational needs in both the private and public sector.

Mrs. Mason has provided leadership to the organizations that she has worked for, including program management, program development and program expansion. Drawing on an extensive background in hospital, clinic and systems operations, she is responsible for providing leadership to CHE executive management in the continued development and acquisitions of contracts and business opportunities in managed care and the public sector. She primarily focuses on the areas of developing and improving behavioral healthcare systems for patients, providers, insurers and governments.
